| Alabama closes schools, offices as snow moves in ... sleet and freezing rain - expected, starting Tuesday morning in parts of the South, according to the National Weather Service. As the storm spread northward, forecasters called for one to 3 inches of snow from North Carolina into West Virginia, Delaware and Maryland through Wednesday evening.
